Futurist introduces brand new single, “Bad Air, Still Water.”

Via ARTISTRACK:

In spite of the band’s moniker, Futurist’s music actually holds strong ties with the sounds of the past. From 90s alternative rock, to psychedelic rock, indie music and avant-garde, anything goes! The group’s sound has often been compared to the work of seminal acts like Spoon, Radiohead, or The Flaming Lips, yet Futurist managed to scope out its own identity.

Based in Brooklyn, NYC, the band is at the forefront of a burgeoning psychedelic rock scene, and they’re often performing live in anticipation of their upcoming debut album, “Omens,” which will be released on September 27th, 2019. Prior to the album’s release, the band also shared a single named “Bad Air, Still Water.” The song is a great example of what the group can expect from their upcoming full-length release. The track has a unique sound, which combines memorable melodies with organic textures and a lot of depth. Their sound feels balanced and distinctive, with a deeper lyrical concept fueling the band’s vision. The song’s lyrics touch on existential themes, often giving the audience profound content to connect with. What are the consequences of our actions? Who are we? Are we really in control?
